By The Sea is my creative space, born from my love for working with my hands and exploring different forms of art. My journey began in 2020 in my hometown, Dunedin, New Zealand, and I’m now based in Mount Maunganui.

I work with a range of mediums, including photography, acrylic painting, clay, and traditional hand-poked tattooing.

It all started in my family bach on the Otago Harbour in Ōtakou, where the ocean right outside my window became my biggest source of inspiration. Creating by the sea gave me a sense of freedom and a space to fully express myself. I believe art evolves with us, offering a unique and authentic way of seeing the world.

One of my main focuses is hand-building with clay—a process where I shape each piece without a pottery wheel, using just my hands, fingers, and a few simple tools. This way of working connects me deeply to the medium, and every piece I create carries its own story and the imprint of my hands.
